IS THE ADVERTISING INDUSTRY AS WE KNOW IT DESTINED FOR THE SAME HISTORY PAGES AS THE ENCYCLOPAEDIA?

The answer to a MoFilm breif put online. Made by a girl in Denmark, on her own and submitted.

DEMOCRITIZATION OF CREATIVITY

If you give people a platform they will surprise you.

The internet is the world's largest stage.

How is Wikipedia useful in advertising?

- Wikis give direct access to people who are passionate about a topic or brand. They are a useful tool to find people to participate in testing.

CURATION is as important as CREATION.

THINK GLOBAL. EXECUTE LOCAL.

TIME WARNER INC. PRESENTS: WHAT CONNECTS IN COMEDY

Anderson interviewed Conan, they were a bizarre matchup in my opinion but they worked well together on stage and their seminar was very entertaining. The main thing I got out of this seminar was that you need to be AUTHENTIC, and you should never say or support anything you don't believe in... also that I should start watching Conan because he's hilarious.

CONTENT THAT NEVER SLEEPS: HOW BRANDS USE YOUTUBE TO TALK TO AUDIENCES 24/7

We were given props and had to come up with a way to use YouTube to interact with our brand. I was in a group with three guys who were there as a client. They had no idea what they were doing but they were so enthusiastic and excited about their idea that I just went with it. They came up with an entire commercial that made no sense but it was fun.

A BILLION DOLLAR BRAND IN YOUR HANDS

In Canada McDonald's launched a campaign about telling the truth and answering questions about their food. Through Facebook and Twitter they had people submit questions and promoted the answers to spread awareness.

Listening to the CMO of McDonald's tell the audience that he takes his kid to McDonald's five times a week and it is healthy food made me so mad. I could barely listen to what he was saying about advertising because I was so angry. He was skating around the truth in a campaign about the TRUTH. It seemed like he had canned responses to all of the questions he was asked, the authenticity just wasn't there and I didn't buy any of what he said.  Having said that I think the idea behind the campaign was good and it was very well executed (I'm just not their target...I'm a "hater")

DISRUPTIVE PERCEPTION

" I SUSPECT THAT THE WELCOMING OF CONSTRAINTS IS, AT BOTTOM, THE DEEPEST SECRET OF CREATIVITY"

- David Gentleman

"Discovery consists not seeking new lands, but in seeing lands with new eyes."

- you must find ways to activly disrupt the perceptions that you have

Five most important skills for innovators: Associating, Questioning, Observing, Experimenting, Networking.

Once in a while imagine the world without technology...see what happens.
